Product Description
Autocollimator is an optical instrument used for non contact measurement ofangles. It consists of a Telescope with aDrum micrometer eyepiece & a light source which projects image of cross wire reticule through the telescope on areflecting mirror kept away from the telescope. The reflected image of the cross wire reticule is then measured against the scale in the micrometer eyepiece.

FAQs of Autocollimator Telescope:
Q: How does the autocollimator telescope achieve precise angular measurement?
A: The telescope employs the autocollimation principle, using an optical cross-line reticle and achromatic lens to reflect and align light beams for exact angular measurement, achieving a resolution of 1 arc second.
Q: What benefits does the multi-layer anti-reflection coating provide in usage?
A: Multi-layer anti-reflection coatings minimize light loss and glare, resulting in higher image contrast and clarity, which is essential for accurate alignment and measurement in critical environments.
Q: When is it recommended to use this autocollimator telescope?
A: It is optimal for use during tasks requiring precise angle alignment and measurement, particularly in labs, precision workshops, and metrology applications where high accuracy is mandatory.
Q: Where can the telescope be mounted for stable operation?
A: The device can be securely mounted on a sturdy tripod or bench mount to ensure stability during measurements and to accommodate varying workspaces.
Q: What is the process for focusing the telescope on different targets?
A: Adjust the eyepiece and focal mechanism to target objects from 500 mm to infinity, ensuring the image of the optical cross-line reticle and measured object are both sharp and clear.
Q: Is there any special power requirement for operating this instrument?
A: No power source is needed. This is a purely optical device, operating without electricity and thus is suitable for locations without accessible power.
Q: What advantages does factory calibration offer to users?
A: Factory calibration ensures the autocollimator is ready for accurate use upon delivery, eliminating the need for initial setup and guaranteeing precise measurements from the outset.
